A Healthy Weight

There are so many reasons brought to my attention as to why one should live his/her life at a healthy weight. In order to keep going on the right path, to keep spirits high through all the hard work, I try to remind myself of what I achieve with each pound I lose.

For instance, all those extra pounds on an individual's body cause "your knees and hips [to] experience up to 3 times as much pressure with each step." Furthermore, "every ten pounds of excess weight gained, the risk of developing osteoarthritis increases by approximately 40%."

With those detrimental notions in mind, I definitely love hearing this next line:
"Overweight women who lose as little as 11 pounds decrease their risk of developing arthritis by more than 50%."

Consequently, all the effort is definitely worth the pain. Ultimately, every little bit counts towards a healthier lifestyle.
